Please read through the following Policies and Participant/Parent Expectationsbefore you sign your registration form. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at actingupmusicaltheatre@gmail.com
Health & Safety
The health and safety of our students, staff, and families is important to us.
• Students are asked not to attend class if they are exhibiting any symptoms of a severe cold, flu or COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath etc).
• Anyone dealing with the lingering effects of a cold (ie a cough or runny nose that hangs on) will be encouraged to wear a mask during rehearsals until they are fully recovered.
• Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility and regular hand washing is encouraged.
• In accordance with current direction from the Provincial Health Officer, masks are optional but welcome at Acting UP!
• Students are encouraged to bring their own mask if they wish to wear one but disposable masks are always available at the sign in table each week.

1. Signed Registration Forms must be completed and submitted before your child can participate in any Acting UP! Musical Theatre Course.
2. Please be aware that while every possible precaution will be taken to care for the health and safety of all students, by signing the Waiver on the Registration Form, you are registering for this course at your own risk.

2. Parents are asked to make sure their children arrive on time for the start of each class and are picked up promptly at the end.
3. If a child is not able to attend a class or a performance day due to illness or an emergency, Parents agree to contact
Acting UP! Musical Theatre at the earliest possible time so that we are not expecting them to arrive.
4. As this is a performance course, it is important for students to attend every possible rehearsal.

Parent Volunteer Information
Parents are not required to take on any specific job in order for their children to participate in Acting UP! Musical Theatre.
While there is no official job requirement for parents, we know that many parents love to get involved with their kids. If you are one of them, let us know! There’s always lots to do! Here are a few examples…
Front of House
Front of House volunteers are required for each performance (the perk is that you get to see the show for free!)
Sets & Props
Help will be needed to set up and strike the set at the theatre. There are often things to build as well so if you want to flex your “Construction” muscles, let us know!
Sponsorship
We are always looking for parents who are willing to seek out sponsorship and sell ads in our program in order to help fund extra items such as wireless microphones for the actors.
Misc.
Many more opportunities will come up as we progress through the rehearsal process. We’ll keep you posted!
Costumes
Help is often required on “fitting days”! We also welcome any parents who love to sew!
